Did Eve Have Sex With the Devil Or Did She Just Eat Some Fruit? - Part 1

Is my title question preposterous? If it is, how is it more preposterous than to think that the literal eating of a particular fruit from a particular tree, albeit forbidden by The Lord, can be considered that evil that Adam and Eve should lose their opportunity of a physical life in paradise and access to the Tree of Life? If a child in our care were to disobey our instruction for the first time would we lash out with a severe punishment at the first offence of disobedience? Obviously not, so why did The Lord punish our original parents so severely for eating the wrong kind of 'apple'? OK, I know it doesn't say apple but it might just as well say it, so does this apparent trivial error and the punishment that follows it make any sense, or, in other words, does the punishment fit the crime? Well, if we take it a step further and accept the Biblical narrative as symbolic for something else, then, yes it does make sense. Indeed, we can then assume, without much doubt, that Adam and Eve's sin was so serious, so heinous, that the Lord had no option but to banish our original parents from the Garden. This then leaves us with the question of what kind of offence(s) or sin(s) could it have been that would warrant such a severe punishment?

Up until recently I was of the mind, like so many others, that Adam and Eve's sin was just a simple act of disobedience, but writings I have discovered just lately have thrown a giant spanner into the works of my original understanding of their original sin. My understanding, too, not helped much by what is written in the King James Bible. However, always remember, that as believers, our understanding is never ours it's the understanding we are given and The Lord does not give us all understanding, all at once, or at the beginning of our walk with Him. It takes years of study and much waiting on Him. Having clarified that little aside, let's write the crucial verses here so that we can see for ourselves what the Holy Scriptures actually say:

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Did Eve Have Sex With the Devil Or Did She Just Eat Some Fruit? - Part 1

This verse is the most important and influences the whole of this study, for it mentions two seeds. Now what are these "seeds", because before we can move on we must be clear in our minds as to what they represent and, after a little research, we find it's all very straight forward. Most readers will know what the word 'seed' means in this context but to make sure, let's use another example or two so that there is no ambiguity or confusion:

Genesis 9:8-9 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you.

Gen 15:3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

So as we can plainly see, the word 'seed' refers to offspring and if we refer to Strong's Concordance for further evidence we will find that the Hebrew word for 'seed' in Genesis 3:15 is the same as in Genesis 9:9 and 15:3. OK, so if we go back to Genesis 3:15 we can see that the Lord is going to put enmity between these two very different seeds or lines, but who is the Lord speaking to? Let's go there now:

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

There we have it; the Lord is speaking to the Devil, Satan, that serpent and arch-deceiver also known as the destroyer, the adversary and in this instance the arch-seducer, for, without doubt, one of the two seeds mentioned here is his seed. Notice too the phrase "because thou hast done this". From that we can easily deduce and know that Satan actually did something and the term 'doing something', more often than not, refers to a physical action, not just an 'action' of sitting idly by on the sidelines enticing, goading or provoking as an exuberant spectator.

So what does all this mean for we are very definitely dealing with a physical seed that belongs to the Devil? In turn, this now beggars the question, how can a spirit being or a fallen angel have physical sexual relations with a human being? Well, the only verse in the Holy Scriptures we can rely on or turn to for any evidence to this event is in Genesis once more:

Genesis 6:1-2 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Who were these "sons of God" here that took the descendants or daughters of Adam for wives? Well they can only be one thing, they were fallen angels or angels that went astray and left their first estate as described in Jude 6

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

The important words of this verse are 'kept not', 'first estate' and 'habitation'. The words 'kept not' mean they failed to keep a guard or failed to hold as precious their Spiritual inheritance or estate, i.e. to maintain any value upon their Spiritual substance and the honour bestowed upon them as Spirit beings. Instead they took it upon themselves to choose the lower order of the physical or the base level of physical men. This means they despised their first estate and placed more value upon human fleshly desires and, don't forget, these daughters were human beings in the fallen condition. These angels treated with contempt their manifestly higher order that the Lord had blessed them with, their 'first estate' - their position. Not only that, they gave up their home as well or their superior habitation; very reckless and foolish indeed. So much so, it ultimately cost them their freedom because the Lord incarcerated them in darkness, where they are to this day and where they will remain until the Last Great Day at the end of the Millennium or the end of the Lord's one thousand year reign on this earth as King of kings.

Now this brings us to the original issue, this wickedness was not a one off, this had all happened before, and it was a follow on from the earlier wickedness of their leader, Satan the Devil, otherwise known as Sammael in the other writings I mentioned. He set the example and these fallen angels followed in his footsteps, and their actions were a repeat of his wickedness. So what was this wickedness? Quite simply, it was the seduction of Eve. We can then add in the cuckolding of Adam or possibly even the sodomising of Adam - we do not know all the details. What we do know, though, is that the Devil contaminated their Godly union which up until that point had not been consummated. Adam and Eve discovered the sexual act through perversion and through lust and nothing but lust. This event was a compounding event, because after the Devil had had his evil way with Eve he then, through Eve, encouraged Adam to take her afterwards thereby reducing her to the status of a sexual object, an adulteress or possibly worse, a promiscuous slut. This, in effect, was the first pornographic act - the first threesome; the use of the woman's body for nothing but selfish sexual gratification. There was no love in this event, and it was the first sexual act on earth between a man and a woman. This, too, is how they knew they were naked and covered themselves with leaves and why, too, they hid from the Lord in the garden. They covered their sexual parts, they were laden with shame and guilt - they felt dirty and contaminated. Furthermore, it was this act that gave them the knowledge of good and evil, not through the literal eating of an 'apple', the fruit is pure symbolism. Not only that, if we think the literal eating of fruit from the wrong tree can make us feel dirty, unclean and shameful what kind of fruit could that be. OK, we could and would feel guilty for having disobeyed God but not dirty and ashamed. No, there is only one act that could have had that kind of effect on a previously innocent human being and that act is the promiscuous, lustful, loveless sexual act.

OK, so we now have the evidence that this wicked event took place, but where does this lead us? Quite simply, back to the two seeds, the two seeds that produced two offspring - Cain and Abel. One child was of the Devil's seed and the other was of Adam's seed. How do we know this? Not easy, because the King James Bible is not that helpful, so we have to look elsewhere, but where? Well, before I do that let's copy the KJV verse here, first, to analyse what it says:

Gen 4:1-2 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. 2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Now, based upon the evidence that I have revealed from the Holy Scriptures, Genesis 4:1 seems to read like a complete contradiction of the previous verses. We know there are to be two seeds, but this verse looks as if it's saying that Cain is Adam's son and Abel is Adam's son and not only that, but that Cain was a gift to Eve from God himself no less. Now where have the two seeds gone, because if Cain and Abel are both Adam's sons then they can only be of the one seed for they are both of Adam's seed, so what's going on in this verse? Well we know don't we, the true evidence has been written out of the narrative by the translators. Now there's a surprise, and why would they do that!? They would do it, because it would mean having to admit what I have stated above, that Eve had sex with Devil and produced Cain from that illegitimate union. The thing is, we have got a whole load of stuff going on in Genesis 4:1 and it will require another article to cover it, so stay with it folks.

3C's + 3M's = Effective Communication

When we pause and reflect on the significance of communication, we realize that effective communication impacts our business and personal success more than any other factor. Communication, in one form or another, permeates all that we do. Whether it's internal to employees or external to customers/prospects, our ability to communicate effectively determines the results. Words, actions and body language have a powerful impact, good or bad, on those with whom we communicate.

If we look back in history and examine the characteristics of great world leaders, we find one common trait among all...effective communicators. You may not want to be among the worlds' great leaders but you can greatly enhance your success by becoming an effective communicator. All it takes is a focus on honing your communication skills. With the right mindset you can acquire the skills by a commitment to working on developing the necessary skills. As a beginning, let's explore the foundational elements that will have an immediate impact on your success.

True Crime

The 3C's of Effective Communication

3C's + 3M's = Effective Communication

Whether you are communicating by the spoken or written word, keep these three essential elements in mind:

Clear - Insure that what you are saying or writing is clear to the intended listener/reader by thinking through the message and the response you expect to evoke. Clarity is essential to effective communication, especially in your written communication. The reader will not have the option to question your meaning or ask for clarity. If your message is unclear it leaves the interpretation solely in their mind which may not be the message you intended to communicate. Are we clear on this?

Concise - In this fast-paced world we live in today, brevity is cherished. Quality time is a scarce commodity. Think about what you are saying or writing in the context of fewer words while retaining clarity of message. Email has opened up a whole new world of communication. It is the extreme example of being concise. I'm sure English teachers are going ballistic over the sentence structure (or lack thereof) in most email messages. The balance for effective communication lies somewhere between voluminous, unnecessary words and the choppy words and incomplete sentences of the email world.

Consistent - Once you have developed a clear and concise message that you are satisfied conveys the reasons people will want to do business with you and your company, consistency is essential. We are constantly bombarded with a deluge of information. It takes time for any message to get through. When you have lived with your message day in and day out and are tiring of it, your target listeners are probably beginning to "get it".

The 3M's of Effective Communication

Three key elements are essential to effective communication:

Message - Using the 3C's above, carefully craft your message incorporating the reasons why a customer or prospect should consider, from their perspective, doing business with you and your company.

Develop an honest and credible message that may, depending on your type of product or service, involve features, general benefits, company principles and values, innovative ideas, user testimonials or other factors pertinent to your product or service. The challenge is to make your message inspiring or motivational enough to evoke a response without exaggerated and unbelievable claims. Be sure you communicate the true differentiation between what you are offering and the offers of your competitors. Remember most purchasers see your product or service as a commodity. In other words, from their perspective, they can get the same product or service from your competitors for less money. For most of us offering the lowest price (unless you are Wal-Mart) is not going to create a successful business. It is essential to your success that you clearly differentiate your offering from the field of price cutters. You can't win that battle.

Messagee - I know. This is not in the dictionary and it drives spell check crazy. However, it aptly describes the person to whom you are targeting your message. You must first know who the decision-maker is for your specific product or service. Next, you decide what response you want to evoke. Are you looking for an immediate purchase? Are you seeking an in-person appointment to determine their needs and explore ways you may be able to meet their needs? Then, knowing their responsibilities within their company, you must determine what message is going to motivate them to respond favorably to your request. Example, if the Chief Financial Officer is the decision maker for your product or service, your offering better save or make their company money.

Messenger - The messenger is the medium you select to deliver your carefully crafted message to the appropriate messengee. When you have a clear profile of your best customer/prospect, selection of the targeted medium is much easier. Each media has its targeted reader, listener, viewer, etc. Independent research data is available that will help you match your customers' profile to that specific mediums' targeted profile. Over my forty years in media advertising and consulting I have seen many misdirected dollars wasted on ineffective advertising.

Your precious resources of time and money need to be targeted, focused, efficient and effective Be sure you incorporate the 3C's and 3M's into your communication. We would be committing a felonious crime, punishable by hanging, if we failed to mention one of the most significant elements of effective communication...effective listening. We all could fill the remaining pages of this publication with examples of horror stories created by others and by us when they, or we, fail to listen carefully to the other person. Our tendency is to jump in, make snap judgment, provide solutions, make incorrect assumptions and fast forward the others' story without focusing on what they are saying and then responding appropriately. Silence can be golden.

I hope this article has been clear, concise and consistent enough to inspire you to work on your communication skills. There are many resources of books, tapes and seminars available to help you become an effective communicator. Just do it. May you attain the success you earn.

The Importance of Christian Education in Today's World

Christianity has been of the greatest importance to the USA since the time when the first settlers stepped on the Plymouth Rock. Ever since the USA has upheld the Christian values teaching them as mandatory in schools and even conducting witch hunts. At present the church is separated from the State to assure the normal functioning of other religions, while being no longer mandatory, but rather optional for studying. In the following essay I am going to speak about the Christian education as always being the option for the citizens of the USA and to explain the importance of Christian education and the role it plays in our society.

Christianity has constantly played a great role in human education in Europe as well as in the USA. The first schools in both Europe were Catholic that taught high moral standards and compliance with the God's rules. After the Protestant reformation, the role of Catholicism was drastically reduced. When the first settlers arrived to the USA, the religion they were teaching in schools was Protestantism. Christianity educated people in schools while placing certain limits on the human development. Unlike Catholic and Orthodox churches that highly believed in God's dominance and written scrutiny and therefore rejected various sciences that are anti-religious (genetic engineering, nuclear sciences, etc.), protestant churches considered good deeds and helpful behavior to be of the ultimate importance to God. Protestant churches believed that God created any sciences possible; therefore it was a human duty to study as much as possible as well as proclaiming God and expressing God in all human achievements.

True Crime

Christianity if taught at schools leaves a great stigma on the students. The statistics say that students who study Christianity and Christian values at school are much less likely to engage in illegal activities such as underage drinking, promiscuous sex, and carrying arms. In US schools from all students who engage in the illegal activities only 12% of them are students studying Christianity or are engaged in Christian schools.

The Importance of Christian Education in Today's World

On a more personal level I believe that Christian education is of great importance to the whole country. Students in their teens are only forming their future character and certainly need various people to take example from. It is no wonder that in poor schools and in what we call bad neighborhoods, the crime rates are much higher--children that grow up in violent environment are in my opinion are going to be violent. It is a common fact that boys that grew up in families where fathers beat up their wives are more likely to also beat up their future spouses like their fathers. All these examples indeed show us the importance of education in the early years of human life and make us understand that education should be of great value to the society. Christianity on the other hand discourages arms, sex before marriage, as well as drinking. When exposed to Christian morals, students are more likely to develop personal attitude that would allow them to resist the peer pressure, engage in profound studying and strong desire for excellence. This shows the important role of domestic security that the Christian education provides for the society that promulgates Christianity in schools.

At the same time, Christianity being only optional provides the necessary freedoms to students of other religions, or even atheists who do not want to be influenced by the religious thought. The freedom or choice, makes the Christian teachers compete for the students and therefore not to abuse the Christian moral as it happens in areas of the world where Christianity is dominant (e.g. in Serbia and Horvatia Christianity prompted the people to eradicate the Muslims from the Christian land).

In conclusion I would like to say that the Christian educational option in fact provides a wonderful complementary material to students in the USA. The statistics that show reduction in violence, loose behavior or engagement in illegal activities corroborate the practical importance of Christian education, while the separation of church and state assures that no single religious leader can take control of the political life in the USA. The role of being the crime reducer that the Christian education represents the true need of such education in the society.

2012 End of World - Safest Places to Hide

Where are you going to go when the 2012 end of world doomsday, unfortunately, comes to fruition? Where will you be hiding? How are you going to determine the best places that can provide shelter for you, in the face of volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and other deadly catastrophes? Have you ever thought of that? If you haven't, then by 2012 you'll most probably be dead. But don't worry! This article contains the five safe places you can go to just in case the world turns crazy and spins out of control.

The 2012 end of world doomsday is only three years away and panic has ensued in most areas worldwide. Many fear that it will be the end. If the environmental prophecies come true there are some "safe havens" that could remain intact during the havoc.

True Crime

5th Safest Place on the Planet: The Himalayas

2012 End of World - Safest Places to Hide

The obvious reason for this is that it is the highest location on Earth, so any threat of tsunami or volcanic activity is instantly shut down. However, there is one, itsy bitsy tiny catch: how to get there. Only the best of veteran mountain climbers have ever gotten the chance to step on top of the entire world, and many people died climbing Mount Everest, so our chances of even surviving just traveling to this survival location is very little. This could have been easily the top safest place on the planet if not for the accessibility issue.

4th Safest Place on the Planet: China

China as a nation is well high above sea level, has more than ample resources and manpower to build many survival bunkers, and isn't prone to seismic or volcanic activity. Some of China is also landlocked, which means very little chance for water-related catastrophes to occur. Of course, we're talking about 2012 end of world doomsday here, a lot of things can happen, but on a theoretical level, China is one of the safest countries to live in on Earth should it be destroyed.

3rd Safest Place on the Planet: Sierra Nevada

Europe on 2012 is a very miserable place: it will sink in water, has extensive nuclear facilities that could blow off together, and has very many volcanoes, a few with the most destructive effects ever. Sierra Nevada, a southern mountain range known for its skiing sites, is a paradise for those seeking apocalyptic safety in Europe. It has high peaks, reachable by road, and can provide for adequate shelter and materials for comfortable living amidst the catastrophes abound. Unfortunately, the higher areas are either popular ski resorts or government-owned property, and most of these lands are very expensive to acquire. But it is still a viable place to live in for those who are in Europe and is preparing for the 2012 end of world doomsday.

2nd Safest Place on the Planet: Arizona, USA

Yep, you read that right. Many people think that USA is going to be totally obliterated come December 21, 2012, but the thing is the country's position has been diagnosed collectively, not state-to-state. Arizona, in this regard, is considered the safest place in the USA for an apocalypse. Arizona contains many highlands, which will be the safest place should a pole shift occur, and add to that the fact that it's in America, a country that will be looked upon for help by other countries.

THE SAFEST PLACE ON THE PLANET: Africa

Nobody can ever question this penultimate truth. Africa has been, and is still is, the safest place on the planet. It is the most stable continent, unchanged for millions of years, and it has shifted very little compared to the other continents. Africa has the least number of fault lines and has a negligible volcano count. Though not every place in Africa is conducive for survival, all you need to find are African plains with altitudes 2,300 meters above sea level to be assured of safety.

Geographically, Africa may very well be paradise here on Earth. The biggest drawback is that Africa as a continent is immensely underdeveloped. It has poor infrastructure, has inadequate means of transportation and is home to fatal diseases such as leprosy, malaria and cholera. If someone wants to prepare Africa for the 2012 end of world events, he couldn't do so in time. Add to that the pressure of current political instability in some disputing nations; the viability of Africa becomes lower. But just as it is, if people unite to truly conquer 2012 and set aside differences and prejudices, Africa can become the very cradle of a new civilization that is destined to grow after the whole world suffers the damages of the 2012 end of world Armageddon.

The Great Gatsby - An Analysis of Love

"If love is only a will to possess, it is not love". America in the 1920's was a country where moral values were decaying. Every American had one objective to achieve: success.

Francis Scott Fitzgerald, the author of The Great Gatsby, presents realistic image of American life in the 1920's. His characters, like many people of that period, only care for money; becoming rich is their main objective. As a result, their relationships, no longer based on love, fail.

True Crime

All of the relationships in the novel are failures because they are not based on love, but on materialism.

The Great Gatsby - An Analysis of Love

One example of a failed relationship in The Great Gatsby is the adulterous affair between Tom Buchanan and Myrtle Wilson. This affair is based on mutual exploitation. Tom uses Myrtle for sex; Myrtle receives gifts and money in return. Tom Buchanan, a resident of East Egg, is "old money", so he looks down on everyone who is not from his class. Thus, he treats Myrtle as if she is trash. Myrtle Wilson, the wife of poor George Wilson, has become disenchanted with her 12 year old marriage of her husband's lack of success. Her desire for a better life is evident when she relates her first meeting with Tom:

"It was on the two little seats facing each other that are always the last ones left on the train. I was going up to New York to see my sister and spend the night. He had on a dress suit and patent leather shoes, and I couldn't keep my eyes off him, but every time he looked at me I had to pretend to be looking at the advertisement over his head. When we came into the station he was next to me, and his white shirt-front pressed against my arm, and so I told him I'd have to call a policeman, but he knew I lied. I was so excited that when I got into a taxi with him I didn't hardly know I wasn't getting into a subway train. All I kept thinking, over and over, was 'You can't live forever; you can't live forever" (Fitzgerald 42).

Myrtle even believes that Tom will leave Daisy and marry her. In reality, Tom does not even see Myrtle as a person but as a sexual object. This is made clean by his degrading treatment of Myrtle at the party, especially when he breaks her nose for having the nerve to mention his wife's name:

" 'Daisy! Daisy! Daisy!' shouted Mrs. Wilson. 'I'll say it whenever I want to! Daisy! Dai - ' Making a short deft movement, Tom Buchanan broke her nose with his open hand" (Fitzgerald 43).

The pathetic nature of their relationship is reinforced when she dies. After a fight with George Wilson, Myrtle runs away towards a golden car that she thinks is Tom's. The golden colour of the car symbolizes money , the wealth that Myrtle so desires. Apparently, the car is driven by Daisy, another symbol of materialism, and what happens has a symbol of significance:

A moment later [Myrtle] rushed out into the dusk, waving her hands and shouting ... The 'death car' as the newspapers called it, didn't stop ... Myrtle Wilson, her life violently extinguished, knelt in the road and mingled her thick dark blood with the dust ... The mouth was wide open and ripped a little at the corners, as though she had choked a little in giving up the tremendous vitality she had stored so long (Fitzgerald 143-44).

The nature of the relationship between Tom and Myrtle is best symbolized by the expensive dog leash Tom had bought for Myrtle's puppy. It reflects the fact that Tom is the master, the one who controls his "pet" with money. As the master, Tom is free to do as he pleases. As the "dog", Myrtle receives gifts for proper behaviour. The unequal status of Tom and Myrtle reflects the failure of their relationship, which, given its adulterous nature, was doomed to fail from the inception.

The Buchanan marriage is also a complete failure. It is the war that separated Daisy and Gatsby, and his absence is one of the reasons she married Tom. However, the most important factor was his money and status. Tom is from a rich family. He can give Daisy everything she wants. The wedding ceremony proved this:

In June [Daisy] married Tom Buchanan of Chicago, with more pomp and circumstance than Louisville ever knew before. He came down with a hundred people in four private cars, and hired a whole floor of the Muhlbach Hotel, and the day before the wedding he gave her a string of pearls valued at three hundred and fifty thousand dollars (Fitzgerald 82).

That is a marriage of convenience -not love- is apparent on several occasions in the novel. For example, while Daisy was giving birth to their only child, "Tom was God knows where" (Fitzgerald 23). Furthermore, Tom's philandering begins only after 3 months of his marriage. A newspaper account of Tom's accident mentions that the chambermaid he was with her broken arm. Of course, Daisy knows Tom ways too well; she even offers him her "little gold pencil" so that he gets the number of a "pretty but common" girl he is interested in at Gatsby's party, although Tom pretends to want to switch tables for another reason. The fact is that their marriage is founded upon wealth and power; that is what keeps them together, and what reveals how barren a marriage it is.

Gatsby is the one who tries to separate Tom and Daisy. It is Gatsby's dream to be reunited with Daisy, to go back to the past, and to marry Daisy. This is his incorruptible dream, as Gatsby tells Nick: "'Can't repeat the past?' [Gatsby] cried incredulously. 'Why of course you can!'" (Fitzgerald 117).

After reuniting with Daisy, Gatsby begins an affair that is made possible because he is extremely rich; Daisy is a materialist that can be lured by money. When they first reunite, Daisy shows little true emotion. It is only when he shows her his huge mansion and expensive possession that Daisy displays strong emotion. For example, as Gatsby shows her his expensive clothes from England; "Suddenly, with a strained sound, Daisy bent her head into the shirts and began to cry stormily" (Fitzgerald 99).

When the affair between Gatsby and Daisy is discovered, Tom and Gatsby confront each other over Daisy. In this crucial event, Daisy reveals her true view of her affair with Gatsby - that it was simply a way of filling in her empty days, an entertainment. It is also revenge for Tom's many adulterous affairs. Deep in her heart, she is not determined:" 'Oh, you want too much!' [Daisy] cried to Gatsby. 'I love you now - isn't that enough? I can't help what's past.' She began to sob helplessly. 'I did love him once - but I loved you too'" (Fitzgerald 139).

Having betrayed Gatsby twice already, Daisy now betrays him for the final time - unwilling to face the consequence of Myrtle's death, Daisy and Tom conspire to frame Gatsby for the accident. Gatsby is then killed by George Wilson, as Tom has led him to believe that Gatsby is both Myrtle's lover and killer.

In the end, this relationship fails because Daisy values nothing but materialism; she does not even send a flower to Gatsby's fueral.

Love is essential in a relationship. However, materialism is essential of the relationship presented in The Great Gatsby. Those relationships are failures because they are founded on the physical rather than the spiritual. Fitzgerald shows that any relationships based on materialism will fail in the end.

A Honest, Straightforward Review Of Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc

1. Preventive legal services (phone consultations, phone calls and letters, contract and document review, and will completion)

2. Motor vehicle legal expense services (minor and major legal expenses, damage recovery service, personal injury legal expenses, and drivers license assistance)

3. Trial defense services (75 hours of legal services rendered which increases each year up to a maximum of 335 hours in the fifth year)

4. IRS audit services (up to 50 hours of legal assistance in the event of an IRS audit)

5. Other legal services (25% reduction to the attorneys standard hourly rate for any situation not covered in the other four sections)

Furthermore, Pre-Paid Legal members also have complete access to an attorney 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year (Holidays included) through the use of their "Legal Shield" card. This card provides legal protection for members who are detained by law enforcement, served with an outstanding warrant, lost custody of their child, or they injured in an accident.

At this point you may be wondering, "How much does it cost for a Pre-Paid Legal membership?" "Two hundred dollars a month?" Nope. "Okay well what about one hundred dollars per month?" No. "What?! I know for a fact that it CANNOT be less than fifty dollars every month!" Actually, yes it IS. "Okay I give up, how much IS a Pre-Paid Legal Services membership?" Less than a cup of coffee per day or only twenty six dollars on a monthly basis! "Wow! Sign me up right now!"

The Attorney Network-Part 2

If you made it to this point, then you are definitely serious about keeping your options open in this BAD economy. Believe it or not, Pre-Paid Legal is been around for over thirty years! Based out of Ada, Oklahoma, this company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol, PPD. More than one and a half million families in North America (United States and Canada) are active members of Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc..

Usually when people think of Pre-Paid Legal Services, they envision Lawyers or Attorneys. However, there IS one more service that this company promotes in association with the worlds leading risk consulting company, Kroll, Inc.. Ever heard of identity theft? In fact, identity theft is one of the fastest growing (if not the fastest) crimes in North America and abroad. Sadly, the conviction rate on this particular white collar offense is only a mere five percent! In other words, identity theft poses a serious threat to society as a whole.

Signing up for Identity Theft protection has three significant benefits. First, members can get a free up to date credit report through Experian at additional cost. Secondly, member's accounts are continuously monitored for any suspicious activity or malicious intentions in which case members will be notified immediately. Furthermore, if your identity IS stolen, Identity Theft experts will work diligently to restore your name and credit for you at no additional cost beyond the .95 per month along with a Pre-Paid Legal Life Events Plan or .95 a month as a stand alone product. Sound good? Well it gets even better. Not only does Pre-Paid Legal offer the Life Events plan and Identity Theft Shield.

In addition to those excellent services, Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. also invites anyone with drive, motivation, and a entrepreneurial spirit to promote their services in a network marketing business opportunity! Pre-Paid Legal associates earn anywhere between and 2.50 per membership (more with the Identity Theft Shield included). I must admit that this company has one of the best compensation plans in the network marketing industry. Not only do associates get paid for every sale made personally, but they also receive commissions for every sale their downline/team members make (passive income).

To top it all off, associates also receive residual income after three years of promoting Pre-Paid Legal Services products for the rest of their lives! Even if they decide to stop working to sell and recruit, a check will arrive in the mail month after month. Now that's definitely a beautiful thing bada bing! In closing, I appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. More articles are on the way so keep an eye out for them. Take it easy.

Under the Knife by Diane Fanning - A True Crime Book Review

Dean Faiello had built a thriving beauty business. He was handsome, charming, and a fixture on the New York City club scene, but money was never enough for Dean Faiello. So he decided to work as a cosmetic surgeon, even though he had no medical degree, or any training for that matter. In the spring of 2003, a beautiful, successful woman named Maria Cruz went to Doctor Faiello for a relatively simple cosmetic procedure and died while under his care. Faiello allegedly buried her corpse beneath a concrete slab at his Newark, New Jersey home and then went on the run.

This is about Dean Faiello who pretended to be a doctor and performed laser surgery. One of his patients, Maria Cruz, had an adverse reaction to an anaesthetic he used and because Dean Faiello was already under investigation for performing medical duties without a medical license, he decided not to take her to hospital and she died instead. This is especially tragic as her reaction to the drug could have been treated easily if Dean had been a doctor.

True Crime

The story outlines Dean Faiello's life as a gay, charming and handsome man and his relationships throughout his life until he was extradited from Costa Rica to stand trial in the USA for the murder of Maria Cruz.

Under the Knife by Diane Fanning - A True Crime Book Review

I can usually work out how good a book is by how long I take to read it. If a book is really good I take half a day to finish it. Some books I do not even finish but I must say with true crime books this rarely happens. This book took me 3 days. I think it is well written. This is also the first book that I read that is written by Diane Fanning. I saw her website and promptly ordered 6 of her books. I personally prefer female authors so I decided to check out her style of writing. Not bad. I will read a few more of her books before I make my final decision.

The book goes into the history of Dean Faiello by delving into his early childhood up until the time of the murder. Diane Fanning provides insight into all of his relationships including his adult relationships in order to provide the reader with an idea of the kind of man that Dean Faiello was and succeeds in doing this very well. The book is easy reading and flows effortlessly. I was especially interested in the fact that he had an absent father as I analyze these true crime stories endlessly. I believe that this fact was a major contributor to his later criminal behavior.

If you enjoy reading true crime stories the web is an excellent spot to get up to date.

Fingerprinting in Forensic Science

Fingerprints collected from a crime scene, or from items of evidence from a crime, can be used in forensic science to identify suspects, victims and other persons who touched the surface in question. Fingerprint identification emerged as an important system within various police agencies in the late 19th century. This system replaced anthropometric measurements as a more reliable method for identifying persons having a prior record, often under an alias name, in a criminal record repository. The science of fingerprint identification stands out among all other forensic sciences for many reasons because of its superiority and reliability.

Worldwide, fingerprinting has served all governments during the past 100 years to provide accurate identification of criminals. No two fingerprints have ever been found alike in the billions of human and automated computer comparisons. Fingerprints have become the very basis for criminal history foundation at almost every police agency.

True Crime

The first forensic professional organization, the International Association for Identification (IAI), was established in 1915. It established the first professional certification program for forensic scientists, the IAI's Certified Latent Print Examiner program in 1977, issuing certification to those meeting stringent criteria and revoking certification for serious errors such as erroneous identifications.

Fingerprinting in Forensic Science

Fingerprints remain the most commonly used forensic evidence the world over. In most jurisdictions, fingerprint examination cases outnumber all other forensic examination casework combined. It continues to expand as the premier method for identifying persons, with tens of thousands of persons added to fingerprint repositories daily in America alone - far outdistancing similar databases in growth. Fingerprinting has outperformed DNA and all other human identification systems to identify more murderers, rapists and other serious offenders (fingerprints solve ten times more unknown suspect cases than DNA in most jurisdictions).

Although some reporters and authors claim that fingerprints have long enjoyed a mystique of infallibility, the opposite is true. Fingerprint identification was the first forensic discipline in 1977 to formally institute a professional certification program for individual experts, including a procedure for decertifying those making any investigative errors. Other forensic disciplines later followed suit in establishing certification programs whereby certifications could be revoked for any error found.

Fingerprint identifications lead to far more positive identifications of persons worldwide daily than any other human identification procedure. The American federal government alone effects positive identification of over 70,000 persons. A large percentage of the identifications, approximately 92% of US Visit identifications, are affected in lights-out, no human involved computer identification process with 100% accuracy based on only two fingerprints.
